Neutral Palette Guide
Neutrals are not “boring.” They’re a framework — and the easiest way to look elevated daily. The key is to use neutrals with intention: temperature, contrast, and texture.
The core neutrals
- Black: sharp, clean, modern
- Charcoal: softer than black, still strong
- Gray: minimal, architectural
- Cream: calm, soft, expensive-looking when clean
- Camel: warm, classic, instantly “styled”
- Navy: subtle depth, great alternative to black
Two-tone + one accent
The simplest formula: pick two main tones and one accent detail. Example: charcoal + cream, with a black boot. Or black + gray, with a camel scarf.
Texture makes neutrals feel rich
When colors are calm, surfaces matter. Pair matte wool with smooth leather. Mix ribbed knit with denim. Small texture changes create depth.
